"This implies a meta-protocol that is abstract and general enough to include a variety of communities but clear and strong enough to maintain healthy relationships between communities that might have very different values and interests. Designing and providing this meta-protocol will be among the more interesting aspects of the rollout of a SAAS platform."

I agree with you strongly on that one. Coincidently I have discovered what I believe to be exactly that protocol based on the Immanent Metaphysics.

It also seems to me to occupy the niche of the "meta-psychotechnology" you famously carved out with Vervaecke.

What I call "ProjectLiminality" has a twofold essence. One on the super-structure side and the other on the infra-structure side.

In terms of super-structure the essence consists of returning to the indigenous way of relating to stories. Treating them as (transcendent) beings with us as their (omniscient) vehicles (the noosphere being the immanent result of this relationship). Understanding that if we use them (narrative warfare etc.) they use us (paradigms, egregores, mind-viruses etc.) and if we serve them (liminal/trans-paradigmatic mind) they serve us (collective intelligence).

This is supported on the infra-structure side by understanding the Logos (the way stories flow through and shape the collective) in terms of a trinity consisting of MonoLogos (omniscient), DiaLogos (transcendent) and InterLogos (immanent).

MonoLogos refers to the asynchronous, exterior aspect of the Logos where stories travel through the cold vehicle of symbols (literacy, media etc.).

DiaLogos refers to the synchronous, interior aspect of the Logos where stories travel warmly through the human vehicle (think Bateson's warm data) and meet in the context of the (digital) campfire to dialectically self-organise into larger wholes (much in line with how Vervaecke uses the term).

InterLogos simply refers to their dynamic relationship. (e.g. sharing a link in a video call).

It follows that the MonoLogos has to be in service to the DiaLogos to generate coherence in stark contrast to our current MonoLogos centred internet.

There are a few more trinities completing the picture but these build the foundation.

Right now I'm working on an animated pitch to convey the idea which will take some time to finish.

If my shameless plug was interesting enough though and you would like to hear more before that I'd be thrilled to get in touch for feedback and possible collaboration: interfaceguy@proton.me

Best thing I've read on the Musk/Twshitter topic so far, thanks.

The other main places I go for this kind of meta-analysis:

1. misc people orbiting around "integral theory" and what used to be the IDW on social media

2. P2P Foundation

3. David Chapman: https://metarationality.com/stem-fluidity-bridge

(I'm sure there are many other similarly excellent sources that I forgot about or don't know of.)

I think my blueprint for a theoretical "Social Media 2.0" at least somewhat goes along with this, and could very likely be improved upon by some of your ideas; it is also inspired by the Awakening from the Meaning Crisis series, and your YouTube video on Decentralized Collective Intelligence.

I'm working a full time job while battling a weird chronic fatigue syndrome with STEM limitations.. so I'm not the best person to build this.

But I'm generally so intensely annoyed with mainstream social media that if someone got rich off of my ideas and I didn't, I might be lucky enough to still have the satisfaction and meaning in life from being an integral part of something with a deep and lasting utilitarian-leaning and somewhat more life-enriching impact. So this essay-style blueprint I'm offering is completely free, for anyone to try to build it, or something partly like it:

Wonderful read.

[This P.S. makes me wonder why you would bother with anyone who fights because you told them to, not because they want to.]

Wanting to help you out, I've switched it up to SASS: Sovereignty AS Service. Feel free to use it.

"a post-Elon Twitter"

Most curious about this phrase. Are you seeing a possibility of Elon turning Twitter over to the commons, or am I misinterpreting?

This was a great piece, anyway -- thanks for sharing. I can see I'll be turning it around in my mind for a while!
