This is not necessarily the case. It cannot win the future unless the establishment is willing to increasingly dispense with its veneer of democratic legitimacy. As I look at the progress of this election, culminating so far with the DNC convention, what I see is fully cynical control structures committed to control and doing what they can to conceal themselves under a veneer and distraction.
