Jon, thank you for your response. Did you read Kartik’s underlying article? He goes into some length addressing your first three points. e.g., while every given technology maps to an S-curve, there is good reason to believe that either (a) technology is on a J-curve or (b) that it is on an S-curve that will look like a J-curve for many decades.
