Hey Nick, thanks for engaging and raising some important points. Your first two questions are fundamental — in the sense that they are questions that need to be addressed under any political architecture. We can assume that the approaches taken under the current/legacy regime can be useful hints, but will not be simplistically transferrable.
Your third question is, if anything, even more fundamental. I’ve been thinking about it in terms of “reinventing sensemaking”. My sense is that all of our current sensemaking channels are obsolete — both in the sense that they are inadequate to the challenges of exponential information growth; and in the sense that they have been gamed vigorously enough to render them suspect. Consequently — whether we move to a platform as I propose, *this* problem has to be addressed.
I have some ideas on all three — although I’m certain I don’t have the full answers. Hopefully enough people will engage that we can address this properly and take advantage of both broader wisdom and knowledge.
